SENDING COUPONS DIRECTLY TO MILITARY BASES

PLEASE NOTE: Addresses change, post office boxes close or overseas bases may get so inundated with coupons that lots of them get thrown away. This means a waste of time, effort and postage. OAVN has agreed to try to keep all of the information up to date for everyone so they don't use outdated information found posted months ago, that is no longer valid.

Currently here are the bases that would like to have expired* coupons:

1.) Guam
(Naval Base) ADDRESS it to: Fleet and Family Support Center Naval Base Guam, Building 106 PSC 455 Box 157 FPO, AP 96540  (Confirmed. They do want but in e-mail dated  Thu, 4 Feb 2010 21:52:12 +0000 says  they already receive large quantities of  coupons from many different organizations.

2.) Naples Italy Naval Support Activity  6th fleet/Command ADDRESS TO USE:  NAPLES COMMISSARY, PSC 808, BOX 44, FPO AE 09618 (Italy)  17 Feb 2010 advised would like to receive coupons, but don't need lots as they receive enough coupons; prefer to receive them separated between food and non-food

3.) Vicenza Italy (Army) ADDRESS: CAFAP ACS CMR 427, Box 19 APO AE 09630 (Confirmed. They DO want.)    She advised we can sort them as you like- what ever is easier for you but here  they all go in the same bin.

4.) OKINAWA JAPAN • (Army) ADDRESS it to : Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator ACS - 10th ASG Unit 35115 APO AP 96376-5115 Received very nice letter 2/20/2010 thanking us for helping them.

5.) Commissary Unit 5156, Bldg 407 APO AP 96368-5000 ATTN: Customer Service Department (Confirmed. They DO want.
They have many organizations, such as DAV and VFW, who regularly send clipped coupons but they welcome our contributions.  )

If you are curious about the status of other bases you have seen posted on the internet,
please contact us as we do keep a list.

*Please note that unexpired coupons can help families of active military families and Veterans.
They can be sent to the address at the bottom of the page. (If you know of a Veteran or an active military person who could use some help in this way, please contact us, via e-mail or 918 257-1950.)

SHOULD WE CUT OUT  THE COUPONS? It is a good idea because it saves you postage costs and it also saves time as volunteers have to take time to cut them out to get them ready to go.

HOW FAR PAST THE EXPIRATION DATE CAN WE SEND THEM?
We have been asked to send coupons no more than 2 months expired to allow
for the time it takes them to be received and distributed at the overseas military base.

AVOID USING OBSOLETE ADDRESSES

Make sure that your  time, effort and money for postage aren't wasted when your
coupons are sent to an address where they won't be used.

Addresses to send expired coupons to overseas military bases are found on numerous
websites on the internet. However,  many addresses listed are no longer valid.
This obsolete information has proliferated as it is copied and posted to forums and blogs
without first receiving confirmation from the base address being posted.

Consequently, as addresses are posted and re-posted on the internet, some overseas
military bases are being inundated with coupon by many well-intentioned organizations
and individuals. Because of the generosity by so many, some bases simply cannot use
all the coupons they are receiving. Thus, coupons, that could have gone to a "confirmed"
base to help the hungry children of our American military families, get "trashed".

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to find and contact every single forum, blog or web-
site that has the incorrect information posted. Nor is there enough manpower and money
for stamps to let each person know that their coupons aren't going to be used.

FEEL FREE TO LINK TO THIS SITE (or bookmark it) in order to confirm an address
when you are ready to send coupons.  We update as soon as we
get an e-mail
from a base requesting an address or status change. This is why copying information
from this site to hand out or post elsewhere means the information copied is quickly
outdated.

PLEASE HELP US KEEP THIS LIST UP TO DATE! If you are a military base and need to change your info
contact us, via e-mail at
info@oavn.org. Please include the country and
address as we have it listed here, for reference.
